Hassle-Free Show Days: How Beverly’s Show Management System Keeps You Moving

Horse show days rarely go exactly according to plan—and that is perfectly normal.


A late arrival, a horse feeling better (or flatter) than expected, a class that suddenly makes sense to add—or one that no longer does. These decisions are part of showing. What shouldn’t be part of the experience is unnecessary stress: waiting in lines, running back and forth between the show office and the in-gate, or wondering whether you are “allowed” to make a change.


At Beverly, we design our shows so that the ring keeps moving and riders can adapt in real time. Modern entry systems like Strider, combined with Beverly’s AMAZING cloud-based show management system allow us to manage changes efficiently—before the show and even during the day—without slowing down the competition or your schedule.

Read on to learn how to add or drop classes smoothly, whether you are planning ahead or making decisions on show day.


Before the Show: Plan Ahead with Strider

Before the Closing Date (midnight on the Thursday before the show), Strider is your best friend.

Using Strider, you can:

  • Add or drop classes

  • Edit your entry details

  • Upload required documents (negative Coggins and signed waiver)

  • See fee changes calculated automatically

If your edits result in a balance due or a credit, Strider allows you to settle everything online before show day using:

  • Credit card

  • Venmo

  • PayPal

This is the smoothest and fastest way to manage changes—and we strongly recommend making any known adjustments before the Closing Date whenever possible.


HOWEVER: Once the show begins, however, the process changes to protect ring flow.

Show Day Changes: Keep the Ring Moving

Adding or Dropping a Class on Show Day?

Tell the In-Gate.

If you decide on show day to:

  • Add a class → Go ahead and compete

  • Drop a class → Simply don’t go in the ring.

There is no need to visit the show office first.


Instead:

  • Notify the in-gate only

  • The in-gate will communicate changes directly to scoring and the judge


This system allows us to:

  • Keep classes running on schedule

  • Avoid waiting for missing riders at the gate

  • Eliminate unnecessary back-and-forth for competitors


To allow this real time show adjustment, you CANNOT make show-day changes in Strider.

Billing & Credits: Handled Separately (and After Riding)

While operational changes happen through the in-gate, all financial matters are handled by the show secretary.


After the rider has finished competing for the day, please visit the show office to:

  • Pay for added classes

  • Apply same-day credits for dropped classes

  • Settle any show-day balance due


Once the show has started:

  • Billing cannot be handled online

  • All settlements must be done in person


Accepted payment methods at the show:

  • Check/Cash

  • Venmo @BeverlyEquestrian

  • Zelle @beverlyeq


Credit cards are not accepted at the show.


Important Notes on Credits & Refunds

  • Same-day class credits

    • May be applied only to fees at that same show

    • Do not result in refunds

  • Refunds

    • Must scratch on Strider before the Closing Date

    • Refunds after the Closing Date are subject to a $50 Administrative Fee per entry

  • Future show credits

    • To receive a full entry credit toward a future show, you must email the show secretary before the show starts

    • Credits are valid for 12 months, are non-rolling, and incur an office fee when used
