Each year, March arrives with a renewed sense of possibility. We look forward to the warm breezes, the first peaks of daffodils and crocus, and the unmistakable shift toward longer days and expanded riding opportunities. It is the natural beginning of our most active and rewarding season.

As many of our longtime clients can attest, Beverly has continued to expand since its inception in 2010 — in boarding amenities and service, instructional depth, rehabilitation sophistication, and as a recognized show venue. This evolution is part of a strategy to take what has become a very multifaceted program and make it work for everyone — and especially for our treasured boarders.

As our riders transition from winter foundation competitions into the spring season — and for many, into the rated environment — Beverly is hosting a focused, three-day immersion designed to ensure every rider understands the standards that govern competition before stepping through the in-gate.

We are entering an exciting phase as winter transitions to spring. We are happy to introduce an expanded lesson structure that reflects both our commitment to lesson flexibility through staffing growth and increasing ring capacity as we can expand to our multiple outdoor arenas.

This winter, Beverly’s weekly group lesson schedule is organized around clearly defined, skill-based group lessons. These labels appear directly on the schedule to help riders confidently identify appropriate classes—while preserving the flexibility and individualized guidance that define the Beverly program.

January is always a meaningful moment at Beverly. It represents both a fresh start and a continuation of the work we care most deeply about: providing thoughtful, well-supported access to horses and horsemanship for riders at every stage—especially those entering the sport or building their foundation.

This three-day program is built around a concept riders hear often—but rarely have the opportunity to explore in depth: the 3-Ring Horse. A horse and rider capable of stepping confidently into the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings is not an accident. It is the result of correct flatwork, thoughtful progression, technical adaptability, and a rider who understands how expectations shift from ring to ring. This clinic is designed to make those distinctions clear—and usable.

The Beverly South Wellington Access Program has been thoughtfully redesigned for 2026 to reflect the strength, complexity, and importance of the Beverly program at home—while expanding access to Wellington in a sustainable, client-first way. Winter 1 was a terrific way to open the season for our Boarders, Riding Club members, and Wakefield Equestrian Team riders. The day reflected the very best of the Beverly community—thoughtful preparation, positive encouragement, and a shared commitment to learning, progress, and enjoyment 🐴

We are excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity for our Beverly community: Beverly’s Immersive Winter Break Clinics—a focused, three-day training experience designed to deepen your skills, strengthen your foundation, and set you up confidently for the 2026 season. These small-group clinics will take place in our indoor arena over winter break and are designed specifically for riders in our regular program who are ready for a more intensive, progressive training format.

This year marks an especially exciting milestone as we prepare to host three consecutive weekends of onsite shows. We’ve installed new footing and created a Grand Prix arena, warm-up ring, and lunging area — all adjacent to the permanent stabling. This new layout gives us the perfect setup for visiting riders while also minimizing disruption to daily operations.

Happy October! As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, the excitement at Beverly is building for what promises to be our most thrilling fall season yet. We have two local shows, two rated shows, and a circuit finals all on the calendar this fall—an incredible lineup that gives every rider the chance to shine. Whether you’re stepping into the ring for the first time, chasing points, or preparing for bigger stages, this season has something for you.

What a weekend at Beverly! We launched our fall season in style with the Fall 1 VHSA/BHSA Hunter Jumper Show and capped things off with the Virginia Polo season finale. Fall 1 was bursting with energy—our home riders shined including Tara and Leo, Ashleigh and Millie, and Leah and Chakko and Leah, among others. Two rings were alive with action: hunters inside, jumpers outside, all against the backdrop of a gorgeous fall day.

We are excited to share that Beverly’s Riding Club is entering a new phase designed to elevate the lesson experience for every rider — from first-time students to our most seasoned enthusiasts. This fall, we are implementing several enhancements that reflect our commitment to thoughtful progression, horse welfare, and rider enjoyment.

Our Pathway Program is also in full swing, with many of our summer riders preparing to step confidently into the fall onsite shows after weeks of consistent and dedicated riding. We’re also happy to welcome many of you back into the ring for Fall 1.

Hello, long holiday weekend! It will be September in just a few days, and we are full throttle with all of our Beverly programs. Beverly Polo brings a big Labor Day doubleheader with two finals over two days. Our biggest new feature this year is the addition of a rated USEF Jumper-Only Series. Wakefield practices start this week with three groups. The Baldwin Group proudly sponsors our fall local series.

Fall is just around the corner, and you know what that means… fall vaccines! (Just kidding 😉). It ALSO means beautiful weather, great riding, the return of familiar programs, and the promise of new ones.
