After a winter spent between Wellington and Virginia—our polo ponies and jumpers in Florida, and the rest of our program at home—we return to what matters most: being together again on the same farm. While Wellington offers exceptional sport, training, and weather, there is a rhythm and connection here in Virginia to which we yearn to return.

Homecoming & Ring Dedication
We begin, as always, with our traditional Homecoming—welcoming our community back for the season ahead. This year, we are also honored to dedicate our main outdoor arena to the incomparable Jim Wofford. In a private ceremony with his family and close friends and clients, we will recognize a legacy that has shaped not only this facility, but our values and approach to horsemanship. His influence will remain a permanent part of Beverly.

Onsite Summer Leasing
April also activates our highly anticipated onsite summer leasing program. This unique program is designed to give riders direct access to a curated group of horses integrated fully into the Beverly system. We offer two distinct pathways:
Performance Horses – Intended for riders focused on competition and progression. These leases are aligned with our performance lesson program and include a defined commitment to training and show readiness.
School Horses – Our proven teaching horses, suitable for a range of riders and goals. These leases offer greater flexibility in program participation and showing opportunities.

Spring Classic, May 23-24
Momentum continues into May with a major milestone: our first USEF-rated hunter/jumper competition, the Beverly Spring Classic (May 23–24). This event will utilize both the new Grand Prix arena for jumper classes and the newly dedicated Wofford Arena for hunters.
The design of this show reflects our philosophy—creating a clear, supportive bridge between local competition and the rated environment. Riders who have developed within our local program will have the opportunity to step forward and enter the rated space in a way that feels structured, accessible, and supported.

At the same time, the Spring Classic establishes an early-season anchor in Virginia for established riders, helping extend the show season and provide a natural lead-in to the region’s premier summer competitions.

Summer Is Calling
We are approaching summer, when Beverly programming is at its fullest. For those looking to engage more deeply this summer—whether through showing, training, or leasing—we look forward to helping you find the right place within the program.
April is the time to start where you are; we will help you get to where you want to go.
