Spring 1 marks the transition from winter schooling shows to spring preparation as riders begin preparing for the Beverly Spring Classic and their first rated competition.

We are pleased to announce that the inaugural rated Spring Classic at Beverly Equestrian has moved from May 15–17 to May 23–24, with ticketed schooling on Friday, May 22, in The Plains, Virginia. This marks the first time Beverly will host USEF-rated Hunters and Jumpers, and we are proud to bring this next step in our program to the community.

The Beverly Spring Classic was created to bridge the preparation gap between winter riding and prime summer showing in Virginia. Held in mid-May, the show is designed to serve riders who are: transitioning out of winter training, building toward their first—or next—rated summer season, seeking a development-focused environment, interested in steady progression across hunters, equitation, and jumpers.

The Beverly Spring Classic will offer a carefully designed slate of hunter, equitation, and jumper divisions that prioritizes regional rider development, accessibility, and sustainable progression within a USEF-rated environment.

Beverly’s aim is simple and practical—to contribute to a cohesive Virginia show season by thoughtfully adding rated opportunities at points in the calendar where riders can benefit most. We’re back for Week 2 of the USEF Jumper Series — with warm-up starting October 31 at 9 AM in the Grand Prix Ring. Get ready for another incredible weekend in Hunt Country! No pressure, no ship-in fees — just a calm, supportive environment to get your horse and yourself ready for the weekend ahead. The Grand Prix Complex will be open for timed schooling sessions by height, so you can practice over the same jumps you’ll see in the rated divisions.

What an unforgettable start to the Beverly Premiere! Under brilliant blue skies and framed by the fiery colors of Virginia’s autumn leaves, the first day of rated competition unfolded in picture-perfect fashion. The new jumper complex looked fantastic—fresh, inviting, and ready for the incredible courses designed by Bill Yeager, which challenged and inspired riders across every level.

The schedule for Beverly’s Thursday Ticketed Warm-Up sessions has officially dropped! Each Thursday preceding our USEF Jumper Shows, riders are invited to school in the competition ring during designated time windows. This is your opportunity to get comfortable in the Grand Prix arena before show day, practice over the show-quality fences, and help your horse settle into the environment.

The final prep is here: Fall 2 is on Saturday, October 18 and it is your last chance to fine-tune before stepping into the spotlight at Beverly’s Premiere, our first-ever rated show on October 24-26. Maybe you just do one class. Maybe you dip your toe into a new ring. Whether you ride hunters or jumpers, this is your chance to experience the real deal — a professional, show-quality experience designed for local riders.

This October, Beverly Equestrian proudly opens the doors to our permanent northern stabling facility for the very first time during a rated show.
