🏆Countdown 4: Pick the Schedule That Works for Your Program

A compact horse show should not mean fewer choices. It should mean better ones.

That is what we wanted from the Fall Classic schedule: enough depth to give horses and riders real options, without filling the weekend simply for the sake of filling it.

Not every horse comes to a horse show needing the same thing. So why should everyone have to follow the same plan?

Start at one height and move up when the horse tells you he is ready. Ride a two-phase. Aim for a Classic. Leave the under saddle and move to a dfferent division. Or come for exactly the classes your horse needs and leave the rest.

You know your horse. You know your goals. Pick the schedule that works for your program.

The jumper ring gives professionals and amateurs room to make their own plan. We begin with the mid-range heights and build upward. If the first trip tells you that your horse is ready for a little more, there is another opportunity waiting. Then we take a break, bring the jumps back down for our newest competitors, and begin building again.

The hunter schedule follows the same natural progression, moving through the heights so horses and riders can find the right place in the schedule rather than fitting themselves into a schedule designed around something else.

Enough Choice. No Filler.

Today is the other half of that idea.

A shorter show only works if the schedule gives you what you came for. At Beverly, that means classes for professionals and amateurs, opportunities from the beginning levels through 1.20m, different formats for different objectives, and a progression that lets you make decisions based on the horse underneath you.

Pick what works. Leave what doesn't.

That is the point of the Fall Classic schedule.
