💚Hello, March — Clear Pathways, Expanded Opportunities

Updated: 20 hours ago

Each year, March arrives with a renewed sense of possibility. We look forward to the warm breezes, the first peaks of daffodils and crocus, and the unmistakable shift toward longer days and expanded riding opportunities. It is the natural beginning of our most active and rewarding season.

This March, we continue the intentional evolution of our riding program — particularly within our lesson structure.

The most significant structural refinement to the lesson program is the formalization of our Growth Pathways. These pathways clearly distinguish between riders who wish to grow (Development Pathway) and those who wish to grow and show (Performance Pathway).

While Beverly is proudly a show venue, we are not a show barn. That distinction matters.

There is room here for both riders who are pursuing mastery of horsemanship without competitive pressure and riders who are actively preparing for the show ring. Our program now makes that distinction visible and structured:

  • Development Pathway – Focused on skill acquisition, confidence, horsemanship, and steady advancement without an expectation of competition.

  • Performance Pathway – Focused on competition readiness, ring strategy, polish, consistency under pressure, and show participation.

Both pathways are equally valued. Both are intentionally supported. What differs is the structure, expectations, and preparation framework surrounding each rider’s goals.

By defining these pathways, we eliminate ambiguity. Riders and families can align clearly with their objectives, and our instructional team can tailor programming with precision. This clarity strengthens the experience for lesson horse clients and boarders alike as we prepare for the summer season.

To support our Performance Pathway riders, we are launching our Spring Intensive Clinic: “Know Before You Show.” This focused program will cover ring etiquette, course management, scoring systems, turnout standards, warm-up protocols, and the operational logistics that underpin confident show days. It is designed to ensure that riders enter competition informed, organized, and prepared.

We are also excited to roll out our Spring Show Series, presented by Tri-County Feed and supported by Buckeye Nutrition. As we transition fully outdoors, the ability to utilize multiple rings will elevate opportunities for hunters, jumpers, and equitation riders alike. This series provides a structured and progressive competitive environment within our own community.

Finally, March begins our preparation for our first Spring Classic in May — the culmination of the first phase of our calendar. This event is designed to introduce — or reintroduce — our riders to regular competition close to home before expanding into broader circuits.

March is a month of clarity and momentum. Clear pathways. Clear goals. Expanded opportunity.

We are grateful to have you on this journey with us and look forward to the days ahead — steady, intentional, and full of promise.
