New Innovative Schedule for the Indoor Winter Show Series Presented By The Salamander Collection

Updated: Dec 8, 2024

Welcome to the Winter Hunter/Jumper Indoor Show Series graciously presented by the Salamander Collection. For the Winter Series, we are introducing an innovative new format to help our diverse rider community with their specific needs.

Priority Jumper Window: 8-10am

We will start the competition with our jumper classes 2’9” and above (#58-68 refer to the prize list for details) in a priority jumper window from 8-10 AM. We will take riders in any order and go up and down in height during the priority jumper window depending on rider preference. We will not set below 2’9” to stay on schedule.

Warm up for these rounds will be in the indoor to allow riders to practice on the footing in the indoor. Both a vertical and oxer will be available as warm-up jumps. The in gate will do a rotation of four competing riders before breaking for another warmup of 4 different riders for the next rotation. More details on this process will be provided.

Under Saddle, Poles/Cross-Rails & SS

After the initial jumper window, we will switch over to our hunter pleasure and equitation classes, following the schedule in the prize list. Please note that there will be other jumps in the ring to accommodate the later jumper classes, but they will be at pole level.

These under saddle classes will be followed by the poles and cross rail jumper classes followed by the short stirrup and student equitation classes, which are all 2’ and below in height.

Jumper Classes

Then it is back to a full jumper course with classes that will go up by height. Once we get up to 2’6”, we will switch back over to hunters and take the extra jumps out of the ring.

Warm ups for classes occurring after the priority window and for the remainder of the day will occur in the outdoor rings as usual.

Rider Cooperation

To make this work, riders will need to (1) check in at the in gate to get in the order of go (noted on a white board) and then (2) warm up and be ready at the ingate based on the posted order of go.

It will be the rider’s responsibility to notify the ingate of the class type and course (A v. B or speed v. jump off) so that it can be radioed to the judge.

We will continue to evaluate this schedule and program to make it work the best that it can and welcome feedback for improvement.
