One of the things that makes Beverly truly special is the way our lesson program and horse shows connect—not as separate experiences, but as part of the same journey 🐎
Our on-site schooling shows are designed to give riders a positive, educational, and confidence-building introduction to competition, all in a familiar environment. Showing is always optional (never required!), but when riders are ready to step into the ring, preparation matters 💚

🌟 A Rare Opportunity — All in One Place
Very few facilities offer both a robust school horse lesson program and the quantity, quality, and continuity of shows that Beverly hosts throughout the year.
At Beverly, our shows are a natural extension of our training program. Riders can begin with entry-level schooling experiences and progress—at their own pace—through increasingly competitive divisions.
For those who choose to continue, that same pathway can lead all the way to rated national competition, without ever leaving the venue 🏆
That continuity builds confidence, supports responsible horse development, and makes showing feel like a natural next step—not a leap.

🧭 Our Philosophy
At Beverly, two ideas guide everything we do:
Start Where You Are & Practice → Prepare → Premiere
No matter the level, showing requires preparation. Readiness isn’t about height alone—it’s about consistency, responsibility, and commitment to the process. Showing on a Beverly school horse is a privilege, and participation is approved case by case to set both riders and horses up for success.

✅ What Readiness Looks Like
When riders show at Beverly, we look at the whole picture—not just what happens over a fence:
Consistent participation in lessons 📅
Confidence and stability at the level entered
Safe, effective riding in a group setting
Thoughtful horsemanship and respect for our horses 🐴
Sometimes a rider can do something technically, but needs more time to do it consistently. That’s part of the journey—and we’re here to support it.

💚 Supporting Our Horses
Our school horses are incredible teachers and valued partners. To protect their welfare and keep experiences positive, certain divisions require lease arrangements and practice rides outside of lessons are limited.
A successful show day isn’t just about ribbons—it’s about a good experience for both horse and rider 🌿

🧠 The Mental Side of Showing
Shows bring excitement—and new challenges! Busy arenas, waiting, schedule changes, and nerves are all part of the experience.
Readiness also means being emotionally prepared: willing to try, open to coaching, and able to stay focused in a busy environment. When riders need more time to build confidence, that’s not a setback—it’s part of growing 💫

🤝 Thoughtfully Guided, Every Time
Decisions about showing on a Beverly school horse are made by our instructional team based on recent riding and current readiness. Approval for one show doesn’t automatically mean approval for the next, because riders (and horses!) grow and change.
Our goal is always the same: a safe, supportive, and rewarding experience.
✨ In the End
Showing at Beverly is meant to be:
🌱 Supportive, not stressful
📚 Educational, not rushed
🎯 A reflection of preparation, not pressure
When riders are ready, we’re proud to cheer them on. When more preparation is needed, we’re just as committed to helping them get there—at the right pace, and for the right reasons 💚
