🍂 Fall 2: One More Chance to Show How Far You’ve Come

A circuit is supposed to take you somewhere.
Over the course of a season, that may mean moving up a division or collecting points toward a year-end championship. But more often, progress happens incrementally: a horse becomes more settled in the ring, a rider becomes more confident over a course, or something that felt ambitious in the spring simply feels comfortable by fall.
On Saturday, October 10, we return for the final show of the 2026 Beverly Hunter/Jumper Circuit, recognized by VHSA and BHSA. It is the last opportunity to add points to the circuit standings before our Finals next month, but it is also something more important: one final chance to put a season’s worth of progress into the ring.
Maybe you began the circuit in poles and are now ready to try the 2'. Maybe you started in Pleasure and Long Stirrup has become the natural next step. Perhaps you have stayed in the same division all season, but the rounds look different now—more polished, more consistent and more confident than they did when the year began.
Or perhaps the right decision for October is not to move up at all.
There is something to be said for recognizing when a horse or rider has already accomplished enough and choosing to finish the season with an easier outing and a good experience. Progress does not always require raising the jumps. Sometimes the best measure of a season is simply how much more confidently horse and rider can do today what challenged them several months ago.
That philosophy has been at the center of the Beverly circuit from the beginning.
Our local shows are designed to give riders a place to develop without asking them to make every show into a major undertaking. Familiar rings, thoughtful courses, classes that begin at the introductory levels and build through the hunter and jumper divisions, and a format that allows riders to choose what their horses need on that particular day. The goal is not to push everyone along the same path. It is to provide a competition environment in which riders can find their own next step.
For those pursuing year-end standings, October 10 matters. It is the final regular-season opportunity to earn Beverly circuit points before the Finals next month. After a year of rounds, ribbons, first attempts and better attempts, the standings are nearly complete.
But the circuit has always been about more than the standings.
So before the final show, think back to where you started. Think about the classes that once felt difficult, the rounds that taught you something, and the goals that quietly changed as the season went along.
Then decide what would make October 10 the right final outing for you and your horse.
Maybe it is time to move up. Maybe it is time to stay exactly where you are. Maybe it is time to take a step back and finish on a high note.
All of those choices belong at Beverly.
Join us Saturday, October 10, for the final Beverly Hunter/Jumper Show of the 2026 circuit, recognized by VHSA and BHSA, and one last opportunity to earn points before next month’s Circuit Finals.
Start where you are.
Then, come prove how far you’ve come.
