Help Us Showcase the Virginia Season by Showcasing You
Local riders are not a side note to the season—they are the reason for it.
As we prepare for the Beverly Spring Classic, a USEF-rated Hunter/Jumper & Equitation competition taking place May 16–17, 2026, at Beverly Equestrian in The Plains, Virginia, we are making a deliberate prize list cover choice: we are putting Virginia riders on the cover of our official Prize List & Program.
Here is why.
Building a Cohesive Show Season
A successful regional show season depends on many factors: quality venues, meaningful choices, and a show calendar that responds to what riders want. When those elements begin to align, riders have more reason to stay local, plan ahead, and build continuity into their season.
Beverly’s aim is simple and practical—to contribute to a cohesive Virginia show season by thoughtfully adding rated opportunities at points in the calendar where riders can benefit most. The Spring Classic in May and our Fall Classic in October are designed to complement existing summer destinations and help extend the season in a way that works for Virginia-based riders.
The Spring Classic cover campaign is part of this broader effort to support a season that feels worth investing in.

Why Virginia Matters
Virginia is horse country. The landscape, the history, and the depth of equestrian culture here are real and enduring. From heritage events to well-established venues across the Commonwealth, there is already a strong foundation in place.
What benefits riders most is connection—shows that work together, dates that make sense, and opportunities that allow riders to stay closer to home while continuing to grow and compete.

A Commitment That Goes Beyond the Show Ring
Beverly’s investment in Virginia is long-term and purposeful. Our showgrounds are protected under conservation easement, reflecting a commitment to open space, responsible land stewardship, and the future of horse sport in the Commonwealth.
That commitment is woven into Beverly’s mission and helps guide decisions around venue investment, calendar planning, and rider development.
The show circuit strategy and the Spring Classic cover campaign are connected parts of the same effort: contributing to Virginia’s sporting heritage, unmatched countryside, and horse community.
