Horse shows are thrilling, unpredictable, and full of moving parts — and that includes the schedule! Whether this is your first show or you’re a seasoned competitor, understanding how show timing works will help you enjoy the experience and stay relaxed throughout the day.
Why We Can’t Give Exact Times
At most horse shows — including ours — only start times for each ring are provided. After that, things move continuously based on the number of riders, class sizes, and how efficiently each class runs.
Even the best-laid schedules can change due to:
🐴 Horses needing a few extra minutes between classes
🌧️ Weather delays or footing adjustments
🧭 Course changes or jump resets
🏅 Class size variations or no-shows
The bottom line: exact ride times simply aren’t possible — but that’s part of what makes horse showing such a dynamic experience!
💡 How to Stay Informed
We know how frustrating uncertainty can be, so we’ve invested in a live scoring and schedule system to help everyone stay in the loop. Here’s how to make the most of it:
Scan the QR Codes posted throughout the venue or on the show schedule graphic.
The live feed will show which classes are currently being judged in each ring.
Watch the progress — this will give you the best estimate of when your division is coming up.
No more guesswork or waiting for announcements — it’s all right there on your phone!

Management Does Not Have A Crystal Ball
🔮 No Crystal Ball — Just Real Data
Show management doesn’t have a crystal ball when it comes to timing either! The entry and judging data shown on the live scoring system is the same information available to us — there’s no secret master schedule hiding in the office.
That’s why we share the live schedule with you: your guess is as good as ours.
Please avoid the temptation to ask the show secretary or management team when a certain class will go. They’re using the same tools you are, and constant questions only distract them from keeping the show running as efficiently as possible. The best way to get accurate information is to follow the live scoring feed throughout the day.
⚠️ A Note on Flexibility
Horse shows rarely run like clockwork — and that’s okay! Please:
Stay near your ring when your division is approaching.
Be ready to mount and go when your number is called.
Keep a positive attitude — delays or quick runs can happen to anyone.
Remember, our staff are paid by the hour, and no one wants to drag out the day! We’re all working hard to keep things efficient and enjoyable.
💬 Final Thought
Showing horses is about teamwork — between you, your trainer, your horse, and the show staff. The more we all work together, the better the day goes for everyone.
Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and support as we continue to grow Beverly’s show experience.
