The Winter Series at Beverly Is Designed on Purpose
From the outside, Winter 3 may look like “just another winter show.” In reality, it serves a very specific role in the Beverly calendar: it is the capstone of our winter foundation phase. The Winter Series (December, January, February) is designed as a repeatable, predictable structure to support rider progress and development.
Specifically, the series intentionally allows riders to:
Show the same divisions month to month
Focus on fundamentals rather than escalation
Build confidence through familiarity
Measure progress through consistency, not pressure
That is why the class list has remained intentionally stable throughout the winter. This structure allows riders to develop their skills, balance, and understanding in a predictable show series.

What Winter 3 Represents
Winter 3 show is the last of the winter series and completes this foundational phase. By this point in the season, riders should feel:
Comfortable with their divisions
Confident in the flow of a show day
Clear about what they do well and what they are still developing
For some riders, February 7 will feel like a milestone. For others, it will feel reassuringly routine. Both outcomes are exactly what the winter series is meant to provide.

Finish Strong, Finish Calm
Winter 3 is an opportunity to reinforce good habits, end the winter season with clarity, and, hoperfully, head into spring feeling confident and supported.

Setting the Stage for Spring
The spring season will build directly on the foundation established over the past three months. The divisions riders have been showing all winter form the backbone of what comes next. Spring is when riders can polish, stretch, and prepare—not reinvent.
We will be sharing more details soon about how the local Spring Series fits into the broader Beverly pathway and how it leads toward our May season goals. For now, Winter 3 is about finishing winter the right way.

Looking Ahead: Spring Rated Showing
As we move through the winter season, planning is already underway for spring. We are pleased to share that the Beverly Spring Classic, a USEF-rated Hunter/Jumper competition, will take place May 16–17, expanding rated opportunities for both hunter and jumper riders close to home.
More details on the Spring Classic will be released soon.
We look forward to another excellent winter show weekend and appreciate the community that continues to make these shows welcoming, organized, and rewarding for riders at every level. We’ll see you at Winter 3.
